Baja Lagoon

Cabo San Cristobal, Baja, Mexico

An artificial 4 million gallon salt-water lagoon provides a swim-through experience for eco-tourist to explore the reef. Nearby a large freshwater lagoon provides a safe environment for children and families . Here they can learn about life on the Baja peninsula, including whales, sharks and sea turtles. At the periphery of the site a large wildlife preserve is home to a variety of terrestrial species and to nesting sea turtles. A nature center educates visitors about the fragile Baja eco-system and includes outreach programs to local schools.
