Woodland Park Sensory Garden

Seattle, Washington

JOHN SWANSON DESIGN STUDIO was retained by Lion's Club members seeking to create a public garden of the sense for underserved populations in Seattle with special emphasis on the hearing, sight, and mobility impaired and those with autism. Funding through a  Department of Neighborhood Small and Simple grant, enabled public workshops and special interest meetings to be held in the fall of 2010 to help in the shaping the concept plan represented here.  The overall project budget is estimated at  $1 million. The first phase is scheduled  for construction in the Fall of 2011.
