Kruckberg Botanic Garden

Shoreline, Washington

Located in Shoreline’s Richmond Beach neighborhood, the 4-acre Kruckeberg Botanic Garden showcases a plant collection representing the diversity of temperate plants from the Pacific Northwest and other similar climate zones. Now owned by the City of Shoreline, the garden is taking on a new role as a public garden in the Shoreline community. JSDS was hired to create a master site plan that demonstrates the City’s principles of sustainability while honoring and preserving Art and Mareen Kruckeberg’s botanical legacy. This plan will guide future development of the garden in its goal to educate audiences of all ages about the wonders and diversity of the plant world.
